A blanket of stars awaits!
Have you ever fallen in love with a place the moment you stepped foot there?
That’s how we felt about the mountains, specifically traveling to the Blue Ridge Mountains whenever we could, dreaming of our own little slice of this heaven. When we found the cabin we now know as the Mountainview Lodge, we knew it was meant to be. The cabin sits atop a mountain with the most beautiful views, while still being a fairly easy (and relatively short) drive up – believe me, we've had our share of bad mountain roads and this isn't one of them! But the lodge needed some care. In October 2021, we purchased the property, and shortly after have begun the remodel process – inviting guests, friends, and family to visit and stay along the way!
Our goal is to make this mountain top cabin rental a serene and cozy place for us and our guests to enjoy.
We love this little slice of property in the clouds (seriously some mornings you are literally looking at clouds on the other side of the windows) and have already created many precious memories with our children here. From gathering 'round the firepit, to evenings in the hot tub together to working as a family to create a welcoming retreat, we’ve come to love our Mountainview Lodge even more.
We can’t wait to share it with you.

ABOUT CHRIS AND TABITHA BLUE
Believe it or not, this is our very first home away from home (when we're not here, we live in Florida), even though we've been traveling to these mountains for years!
Together we’re a husband and wife team with a passion to find the beauty in everyday moments as well as the potential in home design.
Chris is a life coach and pastor in Holiday, Florida and during the week helps to wrangle our Great Dane, two cats, and six kids, including two-year-old twin boys — and tackles all of the DIY projects thrown his way. Tabitha is the creator, stylist, life coach, and writer behind FreshMommyBlog.com where we share our home DIY projects (to make life and home more organized and functional for our big family!), recipes, style inspiration, and of course fun life lessons.
Our recipes and tips have been featured in In-Style, Real Simple, Southern Living, Health, People and O, The Oprah Magazine, and Tabitha launched two books last year (which you can browse in the cabin, of course).
We want The Mountainview Lodge to be an oasis of peace and place to refresh and recharge for every guest that steps through the doors. We hope that you find it to be a home away from home and fall in love with the beauty of the mountains, just like we did.
